On Love

I am here, I will not fear.
Oh please dear, can you see,
I am everything you want me to be
You are here,
To wake up to,
To share the start of my day with,
To hear me about my day,
To dance with,
To learn with,
To grow with,
To love and love me,
Kiss the tears away,
See my smile,
And share my joys.

Dreams of our Future

You are mine.  How I had dreamt of this time, as I gazed at your picture, looking into your eyes, imagining them looking into mine, lost in thoughts and dreams of you and our future.

As you lay beside me, I realize with tears of happiness how easily life can make us forget these treasures of moments if we let it.

That future, that dream, is now mine – dreams of your comforting arms enveloping me are now a reality.  If ever one was truly thankful for what life had given them them – it would have to be me – because I have you.

Instincts

I take a leap, take my baby
Clinging to me
And hope
To catch the stars,
If I don’t reach them,
I may rest on the moon.
Nevertheless,
The important step is that
I would have leapt and did not fear!

Divorcing you at this point
And giving you the dignity
of choosing
to fly or free-fall
is the best,
yet most challenging,
and empowering way
I can demonstrate
my love for you.
